It is always a good idea to write down everything that you do in your workouts. There are many reasons for this:
1. It will help you monitor improvement in the exercises that you do at home or in the gym
2. You will be able to challenge yourself every single workout by trying to improve on previous sessions. (Too often people will walk into a gym not quite remember what speed/time/weight/reps etc that they did in their last session. Recording this data will speed up sessions in the gym and also help prevent workouts becoming easy).
3. It will help you to stay focused in the gym.
Please feel free to download the following training record sheet. Print a copy off and simply fill in the exercises that you do on the left and record; times/speeds/distance/weight/reps/sets all on one sheet.
