What is Boxercise

Boxercise first began in the UK in 1992 and is based upon training principles that have existed for hundreds of years. It combines aerobic and anaerobic energy systems in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout, but also enhances sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. The class is based on the training concepts that boxers use to keep fit. Classes can take a variety of formats but typically will involve shadowboxing, pad work, skipping, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups. Boxercise is guaranteed to be fun, energetic and motivational.

Why Boxercise?

Boxercise is the best stress buster around. It is considered one of the most effective forms of cross-training available today.

Boxercise combines a cardio workout with a conditioning workout to help you increase your fitness and stamina, lose weight and tone up all at the same time, making it one of the most effective ways to exercise.

The benefits

  • Release aggression in a controlled way
  • Tone & shape your body
  • Increase strength
  • Boost energy
  • Lose weight
  • Work out with others
  • Strengthens cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
  • Improves balance and co-ordination.
  • Can make bones and muscles stronger preventing bone weakening diseases
    such as osteoporosis.
  • With resistance training bone density can even be increased.

During your 45 minute work out your body temperature increases and excess calories

  • IT'S ABOVE ALL, THE BEST STRESS TERMINATOR IN TOWN!

Who is it good for?

Boxercise has developed age-old training principles and adapted them to form a fun, motivational, safe, stress-busting workout which is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. It is certainly not just for men. It is actually popular with both men and women.

Boxercise is especially recommended for those who are lacking spare time as it provides such an effective workout in the shortest space of time.
